Her father and Husband have the same last name on Ancestry.com.
Olia Houston was born in Mississippi. Her parents are known to be Jiles Houston & Addie Buffington. However, Addie is white and black and Jiles is black. Olia decedent's claims that Olia is either black and Chinese or Native American and Black. They have also stated that I would never find her people.
My Research: I have found that Olia biological mother (Patsy Driver) died while giving birth to her and she was raised by her father Giles brother Jiles and his wife Addie.
Breaking News: Through my Ancestry DNA kit I have found that I share no DNA with the Buffington family. I'm not sure about the Houston's yet.
I believe she was adopted and I have yet to find out about her linage.
My great grandfather Harrison Watt has on the blue shirt and I was told that those are his brothers in the picture.
